Yoga is unique in its ability to directly combat and reduce stress at all levels, and lends itself perfectly to aiding the release of stress and its side effects, combining physical poses (asana), the use of the breath (pranayama), along with mindfulness and relaxation. As I find myself often saying to my regular students, “One of the beautiful aspects of yoga is that as individuals, we do not need to know what we need for ourselves. Simply get to our mats, and let the Yoga do the rest.”
